Let Baking Soda Work for You

Sprinkle baking soda on a grease or electrical fire to help extinguish it.

Place an opened box in the refrigerator or freezer to absorb bad odors.

Baking soda is a good, mildly abrasive scouring powder for counter and stove tops.

Put a Tablespoon or more of baking soda and water in a thermos or carafe; soak overnight to remove stains and odors.

Rub a spoonful of dry baking soda on the inside of your freshly washed (wet) coffee mug to quickly remove stains.
