Chocolate Kisses

1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 pkg. (5 3/4 oz.) chocolate kisses

Soften butter and mix with sugar and vanilla. Beat in the flour; divide dough into four parts. Cut each part in ten pieces. Shape each piece around a chocolate kiss to form a ball.

Cover candy; place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes or until cookies are set, but not brown.

Let stand a minute, then remove. Sift powdered sugar over warm cookies.
