Lightfocus: Recipes: Desserts
Ingredients:
1 1/4 sticks melted butter
18 1/2 oz. box Butter Recipe chocolate cake mix
1 egg -- slightly beaten
1 lb. powdered sugar
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
2 eggs
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix butter, cake mix and egg until well blended.
Press into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Cream sugar and cream cheese; add 2 eggs and chocolate chips.
Pour this mixture over the bottom layer.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until lightly browned. For vanilla Butter Gooey, use box of yellow butter cake mix and omit chocolate chips.
