Already another blanket has leaped onto my needles. I gathered all my odd bits of worsted weight yarn plus about 30 ounces of a single color (spruce green), cast on a bazillion stitches onto 36" long size 10 1/2 circular needles and am knitting in the round, using up all those odd bits of yarn.
It's interestingly pretty already! I did divide the yarn bits into colorways that seemed to work well. This blanket will be greens and browns, beige and a splash of burgundy red. I saved the blues and candy reds for another mindless knitting project. What do you want to bet it turns out to be another blanket.
When I have run out of yarn or patience, I will do an E. Zimmerman fake seam up each side so it will lay flat and sew up the ends. This will be a double thick cozy lapghan for Princess Leah and me. Pictures to come when new camera arrives.
