A Winter Knitting and Quilting Project

The FoPRR group has been making blankets, quilts, and afghans for nap-time blankets to send to the newly reopened Head Start groups on Pine Ridge Reservation.

This quilt was made from remnants I had in stash. (I think I love fabric remnants as much as I love yarn- where am I going to store all this?)

The blanket is made from Red Heart Super Saver, a yarn that has the reputation for wearing like iron.

The stitch is one I saw somewhere on the 'net; sadly I neglected to bookmark or note the website. It sure is an easy pattern and makes a good "knitting while listening to a book" project.

(The latest book has been quite an adventure. Will and I are both interesting in this one; it is called "Getting Things Done" by David Allen. This may be the system that works for us. I can already feel the stress sliding away!)
