A Habit of Blankets

Another blanket finished. This is getting to be a habit!

This time I used a Ripple afghan pattern from a Leisure Arts booklet that must be nearly 30 years old. (The price was 45 cents!)

Ripple stitch

It's a simple 2 row pattern: Row 1-
Knit 1, slip 2 as if to knit and knit together thru the front loops, *knit 9, then slip 2 as if to knit, knit 1, pass 2 slipped stitches over (double decrease made)*. Repeat * to * ending knit 10, knit 2 together.

Row 2-
Purl 6, *in next stitch: purl 1, leaving stitch on left needle, yarn over, purl again in same stitch, (2 increases made.) Purl 9 *. Repeat * to * ending purl 6.

If I do this one again, I'll try a different tack as I found the second row difficult to "see" as I proceeded. If I put all the increases and decreases on the knit row and simply purled across on the second row, it might be easier to see.
