Yesterday, we had a "get outta town" day. Seemed like it had been quite awhile since we had a day out. So we did a three state tour. Total: 64.8 miles!
First we drove over to Dubuque, Iowa and did some shopping for the pantry and the critters. Princess Leah doesn't know it, but we purchased a new blade for her hair clippers. Doggy hair cut, coming up. (Not her favorite activity.)
After shopping, we drove over to Galena, Illinois. That is a truly interesting Main Street kind of town. What a grand collection of shops offering art, craft, books, chocolate (!) and food. Galena is an historic little town and obviously a destination for tourists. I think we wore Leah's legs off walking up and down the street. (Misser elected to stay in the motorhome. He doesn't shop.)
Our man, the prolific photographer, walked out without his camera! No photos to share, this time.
The last leg of our tour took us through Hazel Green, Wisconsin where we had wishful thoughts about their library. (The one thing I miss in our life on the road is access to a public library!)
Back "home" again to Kieler, Wisconsin for a kick-back evening. Lovely day off. I think we might do that again!
