Going to town on Friday for many errands. Two of which include getting the awning on the rig repaired and also look for a gazebo for an outdoor room. Eventually it will be summer here and it will be pleasant to be out.
Might get around to a movie tonite- got a tape of an oldie- Gary Cooper in black and white.
Finally is hot here- summer has arrived. I may even go swimming :)
We got a little screened gazebo- I've been having fun with it. Gets me out of the rig and seeing new scenery :) I have my reclining lawn chair and the picnic table. And a fan. I can work out here.
I am beginning to feel like the Rain Maker. Everywhere we go, the rain follows. The locals have never seen such weather as we are having for such a prolonged period. Just had a hail storm a few minutes ago and now the sky is clearing and the sun is shining.
Leah seems to know when it is going to start raining - she asks to go out a short while before it starts so she can get back in before the drops fall. She doesn't like to get wet.
I am getting antsy sitting here- can't wait until August when we bug out of here. (Sound familiar?)
Tomorrow we go to town to get the AC on the truck part of Dancer repaired. When we went to town to get groceries the other day, it started spewing freon. Do you think life ever lets up?
We had a thunder- lightening- hail storm like I have never seen before! Started about 30 seconds after we returned from Sturgis and my doctor appointment. Whew! Glad we weren't on the road!
Thursday was a travel day - we landed in Mitchell, SD, home of the Corn Palace. I remember visiting the Corn Palace as a child. Each year they create new murals on the walls (outside and in, if memory serves) from naturally colored corn kernels and seeds of grasses, etc.
There is an RV show in Pennsylvania, can't remember the town, in mid-September. We might try to connect with that, all things working smoothly. And do you know, I have never seen Niagara Falls! That is on our might-do list. Plus following the Appalachians south in the fall. All new country, more or less!
It's raining again.
