Saga of the Missing Panel

Still in Phoenix. ETA on part for Dancer is next Monday. Argh. Phoenix is having the hottest March on record. Blimey.

It's raining tonight so things have cooled off. Still in Jack and Judy's driveway- the last nite. Judy and I have shopped the thrift stores in Sun City until I could shop no more. The thrift shops around here are amazing!

Tomorrow we will go find a place to stay until the rig gets repaired next week. Then we are off, thank goodness.

We are in an RV park attached to a hotel in Peoria. The weather has turned pleasant so it's quite comfortable. We have hope that the rig will be repaired this coming week.

I called Todd on his birthday- he was just finishing up fishing and we chatted as he drove home. His present from me had arrived so he unwrapped them as we talked.

We have been bumming around the Greater Phoenix area, waiting for the repairs. The part did get in yesterday but now they tell us they can't get us in to put it on and paint until May 6. Well, not on your tintype, Nellie. We ain't awaiting that long!

Yesterday was one of those, if Mamma ain't happy, nobody's happy days. I was ranting all over the town. Still don't have the situation resolved. Can't get the insurance adjuster on the phone. He (still) doesn't return messages.

So Mamma ain't happy.

In the saga of getting Dancer repaired.... last week I asked the body shop manager if there was any way to get us in this week. He said "NO WAY". Finally the insurance guy got involved and lo, magic happened. Our appointment is Friday and we are supposed to be done by 5pm.

We shall see... what other surprises might happen in this saga. Will and I remind each other frequently that Mercury is retrograde. It's as good an explanation as any.

If we, indeed, are repaired by Friday evening, we shall head north on Saturday. Hope it quits snowing in Denver.

Dancer is finally repaired and we plan on heading out tomorrow. We have been sitting here way too long.

We were up at 6 am to get to the repair place by 7 am so we are a bit bushed tonite. We went thru trauma not having Dancer all day. And I am too tired to tell the story so maybe tomorrow.
