Heading South to NM

10/06/2003

We are on the east side of St. Louis in an old fashion trailer court, straight out of the 50's. Pleasant enough and quiet if you discount the highway noise. We think we will be going thru Newton, Ks and will see my mother.

William got paid in advance for several jobs today so guess we will sit here tomorrow while he gets them out the door (so to speak). I might even get caught up on the bookkeeping!

We missed stopping at Dodge City so we are in a tiny little town called Montezuma in far western Kansas... about 50 miles away from Moscow, KS where I lived for about a year when Todd was around 2. Now I remember why I love wide open spaces :) You can see forever here!

The town has put in a 5 space RV park. Full hookups for ten bucks. Self service. Very good rate- we have paid as much for NO hookups. Nice little finish to a long day.

Planning (!!!) on being in Elkhart early tomorrow to get the mail.

10/18/2003

All of a sudden it is warm and the air is drier :)

Stopped thru Elkhart today and picked up the mail.

General Delivery is a little known asset we make good use of.

10/19/2003

We are in Tucumcari, NM for a week. We might even stay 2 weeks but don't know for sure yet.

10/23/2003

We have decided to hang here until next Tuesday. Then instead of traveling around anymore we will head for a winter location. We spent all spring, summer, and fall hopping about and we are about hopped out :)

I will be researching campgrounds today. We are thinking about south of Tucson... we shall see.

10/26/2003

Just in case it missed the headlines, daylight savings time went off this morning. I know because my computer says so.

Got down to 32 degrees last nite! Chilly for little Dancer. We'll be heading south in a couple days.
